Weekly letter C teaching plan (5/5)

Friday activities

C for cupcake activities

Tools:
  • Colour paper
  • Crayon
  • Puncher
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Steps:
  • Make the cupcake shape using the colour paper
  • Make "sprinkles" to decorate the cupcake using the puncher
  • Decorate the cupcake

Thursday activities

C for cloud craft activities

Tools:
  • Cotton wool
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Colour paper
  • Pen

Steps:
  • Make a shape C (big) on a colour paper (I used blue colour paper to represent sky colour)
  • Using the cotton wool, make it into a ball shape and stick on the C shape
  • Done. So simple!

C for clown craft activities

Tools:
  • Paper plate
  • Glue/double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Colour paper
  • Magic pen

Steps:
  • On a colour paper, trace both of your kids finger cut it to form the clown ears
  • Make a triangle (to form the hat), medium size circle (to form the nose), small size circle (to form eyes) and a U-shape to form the mouth
  • Glue the above shapes on the paper plate
  • Done!

Weekly letter C teaching plan (3/5)

Wednesday activities


C for cow craft activities


Tools:
  • Colour paper and white paper
  • Scissors and glue
  • Pen
  • Black water colour

Steps:
  • Make a C shape, cut and glue it on the colour paper
  • Next, cut a big circle shape to form the cow's face, two small circle to form the ears and an oval to form the nose. Stick and glue it. 
  • Use point finger and dip it in the black watercolour and stamp it on the cows body

 Using point finger, dip it in black water colour and stamp it on the cow's body

(Should make the C shape a big thicker, the cow looks so skinny!)


C for clock craft activities

Tools:
  • Colour paper
  • Scissors and glue
  • Magic pen

Steps:
  • Make 12 small circle shape to form the number for the clock (I used the balance from caterpillar activities)
  • Draw a C shape, cut and glue it on the drawing block
  • Stick the circle to form the clock
  • Make the minute and hour arrow

As part of this activity, I also taught her to sing the month (Jan to Dec) and day (Sun to Saturday) song.

Tuesday activities


C for caterpillar activities


Tools:
  • Colour paper
  • Drawing block
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pen
Steps
  • Cut a circle shape using colour paper (you may ask your kids to choose the colour they want)
  • On a drawing block, make a letter C to guide your kids where to glue the circle
  • Once your kids have completed sticking the circle shape on the letter C
  • Decorate the caterpillar by making its eyes, nose and mouth

Tools:
  • Paper plate
  • Colour paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Magic ink

Steps:
  • Cut the paper plate into two to form the roof of the car
  • Make a half circle at the bottom to form the mirror
  • Cut the colour paper into rectangle to form the body of the car
  • Make two circles shape to form the wheels
  • Glue the body of the car and wheels
  • Decorate the car

Initially, i was supposed to make a family tree but the kids look a bit tired. Instead we just talked and discussed about number of family members and who are they.

Weekly letter C teaching plan (1/5)

Monday activities


The usual activity to kick start the week, introduce the letter using the Early Learner book.




Discussing with her on the words that start with C: cat, caterpillar, cloud, cow, carrot, camel


C for cat craft activity

Tools:
  • Colour paper
  • Glue
  • Pen
  • Scissors


Steps:
  • Make a C shape (big that covers 3/4 of the A4 paper)
  • Cut the C shape
  • Glue the C shape on the drawing block
  • Make two triangles (to become the ear), cut and glue it on the drawing block
  • Make the cat striped and glued it
  • Decorate the cat by making the eyes, whiskers, mouth and nose

Tools:
  • Coins (5 sen, 10 sen, 20 sen and 50 sen)
  • Paper and pen

Steps:
  • Introduce about all the coins that we have in Malaysia
  • For the first row, I help to sort it out
  • Then asked her to follow it for the next row
